About The Job

The Red Hat Sales Cloud team is seeking a Principal Application Engineer to drive growth and development of our Salesforce Lightning instance. Responsibilities include designing, developing, and implementing customized solutions on the Salesforce platform, providing best practice recommendations, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver scalable solutions. The role requires deep Salesforce expertise, strong problem-solving skills, and a commitment to technical excellence.

What You Will Do

• Lead the design, development, and implementation of Salesforce solutions, including integrations.
• Mentor junior developers and promote best practices.
• Ensure design patterns follow industry standards.
• Determine when to use declarative or programmatic Salesforce solutions.
• Utilize tools and practices for enterprise application deployment.
• Manage integrations using RESTful and SOAP web services, Salesforce APIs, and platform events.
• Configure Salesforce for complex pricing and product catalogs.
• Work with stakeholders to translate business needs into technical solutions.
• Document Salesforce solutions thoroughly.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship.
• Troubleshoot performance, integration, and functionality issues.

What You Will Bring

• 8+ years of software development experience, with at least 5 years in Salesforce.
• Proficiency in Apex, Visualforce, SOQL, and Lightning Web Components.
• Experience with Salesforce configuration, pricing, and product management.
• Knowledge of integration tools and third-party APIs.
• Familiarity with Agile, Jira, GitHub, VS Code, and CI/CD.
• Problem-solving skills and ability to work independently and in teams.
• Salesforce certifications (e.g., Platform Developer I/II) are highly desirable.
• Experience with Salesforce products like Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, or Marketing Cloud.
• Experience integrating Salesforce with ERP or third-party platforms.
• Knowledge of JavaScript, HTML5, and modern web frameworks.

The salary range is $120,720 - $199,120, based on qualifications.
