Job summary

ERM is seeking a Principal Technical Consultant in Construction Safety to guide clients through the full capital project lifecycle from planning through closeout. Based in Indianapolis or other locations, you will lead safety strategy, mentor teams, and ensure compliance while advancing ERM’s Safety Services practice.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated experience developing, implementing, and transforming EHS management systems for large capital projects.
• Ability to influence executive stakeholders and deliver strategic recommendations.
• Bachelor’s degree in safety, occupational health and safety, engineering, construction management, or related field.

Responsibilities

• Partner with client EHS, Engineering, Project Controls, and Capital Project leadership to evaluate program effectiveness and drive improvements.
• Lead Safety-by-Design integration and risk-based decision making across the project lifecycle.
• Design and deploy scalable EHS frameworks, procedures, tools, and governance aligned with project objectives.
