Yoh Services LLC is hiring a Principal Research Scientist in Indianapolis, IN to advance sterile injectable products through late-stage development and regulatory submissions. You will lead formulation strategies, scale-up, and cross‑functional collaboration with device, quality, and regulatory teams.

The role emphasizes deep expertise in biologics, drug-device combinations, and strong technical writing to deliver IND/BLA packages and robust CMC documentation.

Qualifications

• PhD or Master’s in Pharmaceutical Sciences, Biochemistry, Chemical Engineering, or related field.
• 10 years of progressive industrial pharma/biotech experience with late-stage deliverables.
• Experience developing sterile injectable dosage forms from early stage to commercialization.
• Experience developing and evaluating drug-device combination products under design controls.
• Strong technical writing and ability to collaborate across internal/external teams.

Responsibilities

Job description

Yoh is hiring a Principal Research Scientist for our Biotechnology client in Indianapolis, Indiana.

This role requires deep understanding of injectables (analytical, formulation, drug product process) as it relates to the vial and combination product and will be a key contributor for later stage clinical trials.

Job Functions:

• Characterize biologic molecules using advanced techniques to monitor stability and degradation pathways.
• Design and execute formulation strategies for liquid parenteral drug products.
• Participate in the technical integration of injectable formulations with device delivery systems.
• Train/Mentor junior scientists, lead matrixed project teams, and collaborate closely with Device, Quality, and Regulatory departments.
• Scale-up and transfer of drug product manufacturing processes to clinical and commercial CMO/CDMO sites.
• Author and review high-quality technical reports, protocols, patents, and CMC modules for IND/BLA regulatory submissions.

Education and Experience Qualifications:

• PhD or Master's degree in Pharmaceutical Sciences, Biochemistry, Chemical Engineering, or a highly related scientific discipline.
• 10 years of progressive industrial experience in the pharmaceutical or biotechnology sector with late-stage deliverables.
• Experience in developing sterile injectable dosage forms from early stage to commercialization.
• Experience developing and evaluating drug-device combination products under relevant design controls.
• Success developing and transferring injectable drug product processes.
• Strong technical writing capability and a proven ability to effectively work with internal and external teams.

Estimated Min Rate: $150,000.00

Estimated Max Rate: $170,000.00
