The Systems Engineering (SE) Directorate is the central focus for Mission Systems Integration activities within Raytheon, responsible for defining customer needs, functional and product architecture, requirements definition and decomposition, Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE), system performance, and System Security Engineering (SSE).
The Land Warfare and Missile Defense Systems (LWMDS) department oversees all aspects of Systems Engineering that drive the development of complex systems to support various Raytheon programs around the world. The LWMDS department supports Raytheon by cultivating a world-class group of systems thinkers who work together as a team to architect technical solutions to some of the world’s toughest problems. Key technical domains include Radar Systems and Sensor Netting, Effector Systems, Battle Management, Command and Control, Communications, Network Design, Battlespace Integration, and Interoperability for Domestic and International customers.
The Principal Radar Systems Engineer will be part of a Huntsville, Alabama-based Modeling and Simulation (M&S) team supporting the Open System Architecture Signal Injector (OSI) product. This role includes development and analysis of system and software requirements, development of complex mathematical algorithms, development of system architectures, and support to software and integration/test engineers.

The salary range for this role is 101,000 USD - 203,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
