Job summary

Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems seeks Principal Quality Engineer or Senior Principal Quality Engineer to join its Palmdale/El Segundo/San Diego team. This role requires active US Secret Clearance and resists telecommute; 4/10 or 9/80 work weeks apply based on site.

You will drive mission assurance across programs and partner with IPTs to ensure quality from inception to delivery.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in STEM with 5+ years (or Master's with 3+, or PhD with 1+) in engineering.
• Broad application of engineering systems and DoD Mil specs and standards.
• Ability to work with minimal oversight in a multi-discipline team environment.
• Experience leading process improvement projects and root-cause corrective action.
• Active US Secret Clearance and ability to obtain program access.

Responsibilities

• Implement Mission Assurance principles across the program to ensure contractual and regulatory compliance.
• Coordinate and implement engineering activities ensuring IPT plans are complete and detailed.
• Execute an integrated mission assurance plan aligned with contractual requirements.
• Identify opportunities for continuous improvement and implement efficiency enhancements.
• Investigate quality problems and lead root-cause corrective actions.
• Provide technical guidance and plan resolutions for program engineering processes.
