Pinnacle Specialty Group, Inc. is hiring a Quality Control Supervisor to oversee QC engineers, perform inspections and surveillance for project work and maintenance activities.
You will lead QC efforts, coordinate with construction management, and ensure quality requirements are met. Requirements include a technical degree with extensive inspection experience, strong supervisory and communication skills, and familiarity with project quality programs.
Supervise and direct quality control engineers assigned to perform inspections and surveillance in support of project work and/or maintenance activities.
Provide quality control support to construction management and direct personnel to implement quality requirements and to accurately status the results.
Establish priorities which support construction/operation’s needs.
Resolve complex problems which develop during the implementation of quality activities by coordinating with internal and external departments.
Provide leadership which inspires efficiency performance of assignments, safe work habits, timely exchange of information and each individual's commitment to site policies.
Participate in contract discussions relating to quality activities.
Prepare comprehensive status reports for construction quality activities.
Review and approve subcontractors’ quality procedures and monitor their adherence to those procedures.
Coordinate the activities of assigned quality control engineers and with other construction departments to ensure that construction follows site specifications and standards.
Prepare quality procedures to ensure proper inspection, testing and surveillance activities are being performed.
Provide effective quality training programs and ensure assigned personnel are qualified to perform assigned tasks.
Prepare performance evaluations of assigned personnel.
A 40-hour work week is scheduled. SRNS utilizes various work schedules including 5/8s (8 hour/day; five days per week), 4/10’s (10 hours/day; four days per week), and 9/80’s (9 hours/day, five days on week AA and four days on week BB. Work week excludes SRNS holidays. Each workday has 30 minutes lunch. Overtime will be expected at times to meet deliverables and will be utilized at the discretion of the Manager.
Bachelor's degree in technical discipline and at least 8 - 10 years of practical experience in construction inspection or related areas.
An associate’s degree and 10 - 12 years of practical experience would be considered equivalent.
A high school diploma and 12 - 16 years of Practical experience would also be considered equivalent.
Well-developed organizational and supervisory skills and good communication talents are required.
Certification in areas of Responsibility are required with ongoing programmatic training per the requirements of the project quality program.
