Position Summary

Join the University of Dayton Research Institute's (UDRI) Sensor & Software Systems division as a Principal Quality Assurance Engineer and be part of a dynamic team driving innovation in cutting-edge technologies. In this pivotal role, you will lead the development and implementation of comprehensive quality assurance strategies, ensuring our software and hardware systems meet the highest standards of excellence for our government and commercial clients.

Minimum Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Computer Science, Business Administration or a related field.
• 10+ years of experience in software quality assurance.
• 10+ years of experience with Manual testing, Automation testing, Accessibility testing.
• Hands-on experience with automated testing tools (e.g., Selenium, Cypress, Playwright).
• Solid understanding of the software development life cycle (SDLC).
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, including experience in test planning, test automation, and defect tracking.
• Due to requirements of our research contracts with the U.S. federal government, candidates must be U.S. Citizens.
• Must be eligible to secure and maintain a clearance.

Preferred Qualifications

• Proficient in writing Test Scenarios, Test Cases, Test Estimating, Traceability Matrix, Knowledge Transfer documents.
• 12 years of directly related experience.
• 5+ years with Agile Development experience.
• 4+ years working with Department of Defense customers.
• Ability to promote inclusive excellence in the workplace.
