Mitsubishi Electric Power Products, Inc. is seeking a Principal Protection & Controls Engineer to advance FACTS and HVDC technologies in North America. You will lead studies, design equipment specs, and oversee testing from factory to field, while collaborating with global teams and supporting sales initiatives.

The role emphasizes protection and control system expertise, power electronics mastery, and strong communication skills to influence industry standards and guide complex projects.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Power Electronics Engineering.
• 10+ years of FACTS or HVDC system engineering experience.
• Advanced knowledge of power electronics, substation equipment, harmonic filtering, and protection/control systems.
• Ability to influence trade organization standards and collaborate with global teams.
• Strong communication and technical writing skills.

Responsabilidades

• Lead design studies for FACTS and HVDC systems, aligning with industry standards.
• Develop diagrams and equipment specifications for advanced power electronic systems.
• Provide technical consultation on protection and control systems.
• Coordinate designs from concept to factory tests and simulator validation.
• Troubleshoot installation and testing issues; mentor field engineers.
• Support bids and customer presentations with technical detail.
