Job summary
Mitsubishi Electric Power Products, Inc. (MEPPI) is seeking a highly experienced Principal Sales Engineer to lead business development and sales for FACTS (Flexible AC Transmission Systems) and HVDC (High Voltage Direct Current) solutions within the Substation Division.
This role is a remote position based in the United States with less than 50% travel. You will build strategic customer relationships, shape proposals, and collaborate with MELCO, EPCs, utilities, and manufacturers' reps to win
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related technical discipline is required.
- Minimum 10 years of sales, business development, or commercial experience in electrical infrastructure.
- Proven success closing large-scale utility or power projects.
- Strong ability to develop and present technical and commercial solutions.
Responsibilities
- Identify and develop new business opportunities for FACTS and HVDC across North America.
- Lead technical and commercial solution development with engineering teams and suppliers.
- Develop and execute customer-specific sales strategies and bids.
- Build relationships with key utilities, EPCs, and consultants nationwide.
- Deliver technical presentations and create customer-facing materials.
- Mentor and collaborate with sales teams and cross-functional partners.
