Job summary

Cowboy Space Corp. is building the next generation of space infrastructure and needs a mechanical engineer to design and develop fluid systems for propulsion, fluids, and thermal management.

You will own components from concept through flight, ensuring performance, mass, and reliability in challenging launch environments. Responsibilities include designing valves, tanks, routing, and integration, plus performing hydraulic and structural analyses and supporting test campaigns.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical/aerospace/chemical engineering or similar.
• 3+ years designing fluid system hardware for flight or high-performance apps.
• Experience with fluid analysis and hardware from concept to build.

Responsibilities

• Design valves, tanks, tubing, fittings, and manifolds for propulsion and thermal systems.
• Develop fluid storage hardware from concept through qualification.
• Plan and execute fluid subsystem layout and integration.
• Perform hydraulic and pneumatic analyses to size components.
• Support testing campaigns including proof, burst, and flow tests.
• Collaborate with manufacturing to resolve build issues.
