Job summary

Cowboy Space Corp. is seeking a Fluids Engineer to own a critical fluid system from concept through flight.

You will work on propulsion fluid design, vehicle feed systems, tank pressure controls, or pneumatic systems, collaborating across propulsion, thermal, avionics, and manufacturing to deliver integrated hardware. The role emphasizes hands-on hardware development, rapid iteration, and full subsystem ownership to support mission success.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Aerospace, Chemical Engineering or related field.
• 3+ years designing fluid system hardware for flight vehicles or high-performance hardware.
• Experience taking hardware from concept through build, integration, and test.
• Strong fundamentals in fluid mechanics, thermodynamics, heat transfer, structural mechanics, materials, and manufacturing processes.
• Proficiency with CAD tools and creating drawings to GD&T standards.
• Must be a U.S. citizen or eligible to work in the U.S.

Responsibilities

• Own your fluid subsystem from concept through design, analysis, test, and flight.
• Drive fluid component and system designs for minimum mass while meeting pressure and life requirements across environments.
• Design valves, routing architectures, and storage hardware for propellant, pneumatic, and thermal fluids.
• Balance performance, manufacturability, cost, and schedule in every design decision.
• Perform hand calculations, FEA, tolerance stack-ups and validate predictions with test/flight data.
• Develop and maintain drawings, models, specs, interface documents, and release documentation.
• Work on the factory floor with manufacturing to iterate and resolve build issues.
