Mott MacDonald is seeking an experienced bridge and structure project manager capable of pursuing, capturing, managing, and delivering multiple projects for both public and private sector clients in bridge and structure asset management. This role primarily focuses on North America but also offers opportunities to support our broader global business with bridge and structure asset management expertise.


Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
  • Serve as a client-facing project leader in bridge and structure asset management, leading technical meetings and developing business processes.
  • Act as a subject matter expert, making presentations at conferences and workshops, and providing national leadership.
  • Lead project teams, including directing and reviewing work of technical staff.
  • Make independent administrative decisions regarding project directions and issue resolution.
  • Manage projects to ensure profitability, timely delivery, and client satisfaction, including software implementations and advisory services.
  • Incorporate risk, resiliency, sustainability, safety, and equity into our bridge and structure asset management approach.
  • Ensure quality assurance and client satisfaction across projects.
  • Develop scopes of work, schedules, and cost estimates.
  • Coordinate with subconsultants, inspectors, vendors, and team members to ensure successful project delivery.
  • Support account management and client satisfaction efforts.
  • Participate in marketing activities, including conferences, meetings, and business development.
  • Develop and deliver presentations to support projects and business growth.
Candidate experience requirements:
  • Minimum 10+ years in bridge or structure project/program management, managing complex projects.
  • Experience in a leadership role at a public agency or consulting practice in bridge and structure asset management and engineering.
  • At least 5 years in commercial asset management system implementation or operations.
  • Proficiency with GIS, databases, and spreadsheets is a plus.
  • BSc in Civil Engineering; MSc and PE licensure preferred.
Additional desired skills and experience:
  • Knowledge of deterioration modes for structural components.
  • Proficiency in project management principles.
  • Ability to secure advisory services across infrastructure organizations.
  • Strong facilitation, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to work independently.
