Job summary

Northrop Grumman is seeking a Principal Project Manager for Marine Systems-Cape Canaveral to lead critical program activities 100% on-site at the Cape Canaveral Space Force Station. The role focuses on CAM and EVM, coordinating with multiple functional teams and ensuring cost and schedule objectives are met.

Requirements include a Bachelor’s degree with 5 years of relevant experience or a Master’s with 3 years, U.S. Citizenship, and the ability to obtain a Secret clearance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree with 5 years’ relevant professional/military experience supporting U.S. Government contracts, including project management, program management, engineering, manufacturing, supply chain, contracts, and/or business management.
• Demonstrated experience managing or supporting projects/programs with cost, schedule, milestones, and deliverables.
• Experience with cross-functional teams across Engineering, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Program Management, Quality, Contracts, or Field Operations.
• CAM and/or EVM responsibilities, including cost and schedule performance.
• Certified CAM is preferred and US Citizenship is required.

Responsibilities

• Review and manage project statuses, budgets, and schedules, and prepare comprehensive status reports.
• Assess project issues and develop resolutions to achieve productivity, quality, and client satisfaction goals.
• Monitor project progress and facilitate intervention with project managers, line managers, and clients.
• Perform CAM and EVM related roles and responsibilities.
• Coordinate project activities with functional organizations and vendors to meet requirements.
• Serve as primary contact for project activities and discuss cost, schedule, and performance with management and customers.
• Establish milestones, monitor processes, schedules, and risk mitigation strategies.
• Participate in development of contract proposals and modifications.
• Support internal and customer meetings, including material preparation and on-site integration.
