Job summary

Westinghouse Electric Company in Cranberry Township, PA is seeking a Principal Project Manager to lead projects within the America's Engineering Solutions organization. You will manage scope, schedule, cost, and risk while coordinating with customers and partners.

The role reports to the Project Portfolio Manager and is located on a hybrid basis at our Cranberry facility. A bachelor's degree in a related field and 5–10 years of project management experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in project management, engineering, business, construction management, or related technical discipline.
• 5 years of experience as a project manager leading low to moderate complexity projects.
• 6–10 years of experience in technical industries such as engineering, manufacturing, nuclear, or construction.

Responsibilities

• Complete all aspects of planning process including authoring project plans and developing scope, schedule, and cost baselines.
• Follow department protocols for acquiring team members and manage all aspects of project including scope, schedule, cost, risk, procurement, quality, resources, communications, and partners.
• Interpret and transmit project/contract requirements and changes; coordinate communications to inform the team, customer, and partners; maintain project databases.
• Close project by archiving work and performing final quality assessment; communicate opportunities for improvement and risk avoidance.

About The Role

As a Principal Project Manager, you will manage projects within the America's Engineering Solutions (AES) organization. We creates operating plant NSSS modifications, and also supports operating plants by providing asset management solutions. These solutions support the maintenance and operational lifespan of the plants.

You will report to the Project Portfolio Manager and will be located at our Cranberry, PA facility on a hybrid basis.

Key Responsibilities

• Complete all aspects of planning process including authoring project plans and developing scope, schedule, and cost baselines.
• Based on project plan, follow department protocols for acquiring team members to complete the work. Manage all aspects of project including scope, schedule, cost, risk, procurement, quality, resources, communications, and partners.
• Interpret and transmit project/contract requirements, and subsequent changes to teams following an integrated change management process. Coordinate project communications to inform the team, customer, and all partners of status. Maintain project databases and procedures to ensure efficient handling and transmission of project correspondence and documentation between project team members.
• Close project by archiving work in financial, scheduling, document management, and resource management systems/tools. Perform final project quality assessment and report out. Communicate opportunities for improvement, lessons, and risk avoidance for future work.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in applicable disciplines: Project Management, Engineering, Business, Construction Management or related technical discipline.
  • Preferred - Advanced degree in Project Management, Engineering, or Business.
• 5 years of experience as project manager, where the project manager leads low to moderate complexity projects to successful completion.
• 6-10 years of experience as project manager in a technical industry such as engineering, manufacturing, nuclear or construction preferred.

We are committed to transparency and equity in all of our people practices. The base salary range for this position is $103,200 to $154,800, which is dependent upon experience, qualifications and skills, is estimated to be per year.
