Job summary

NEXHR is seeking a Senior Capital Projects Leader to drive delivery from concept through commissioning and handover. You will oversee internal teams and external partners to ensure safety, schedule, and budget adherence across complex industrial environments.

You will lead multidisciplinary engineers, contractors, and vendors while shaping scopes, costs, risks, and execution plans, delivering seamless project governance and final handover.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemical, Mechanical, Electrical Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Approximately 15+ years of capital project experience.
• Proven experience managing complex projects, budgets, schedules, contractors, and multidisciplinary teams.
• Strong knowledge of industrial construction, commissioning, startup, engineering standards, and safety regulations.

Responsibilities

• Deliver large-scale capital projects safely, on time, and within budget.
• Manage engineering, procurement, construction, commissioning, startup, and closeout.
• Lead project engineers, contractors, suppliers, and external engineering partners.
• Develop and control project scopes, budgets, schedules, forecasts, and execution plans.
• Provide clear updates on progress, costs, risks, and required actions.
• Coordinate with Operations, Reliability, Production, Procurement, and Business Development.
• Support cost estimates, vendor selection, bid reviews, and commercial negotiations.
• Lead HAZOPs, MOCs, safety reviews, regulatory compliance, and project governance.
• Minimise scope changes and ensure complete documentation and final handover.
