Job summary

Northrop Grumman’s Space Sector seeks a Principal Project Engineer – Level 3 in Promontory, UT, with a strong background in engineering and propulsion. You’ll define technical scope, lead cross-functional teams, and manage development from design to production on high‑stakes projects.

The role requires solid NX modeling, DoD security clearance eligibility, and the ability to travel 5–10%. Primary salary range starts at industry benchmarks and reflects scope and candidate experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering with 5 years of professional experience, or Master’s with 3 years, or PhD with 1 year.
• Ability to perform solid modeling using NX.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government DoD Secret security clearance.
• Ability to work with energetic materials per DOJ/ATF requirements.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate across IPTs with fellow PEs on design, process, and quality of the product.
• Develop program execution plans and work with the Program Office.
• Interface regularly with customers as the technical POC.
• Lead the coordination and execution of milestones reviews to Senior Leadership and Customers.
• Write technical reports and deliver internal/external presentations.
