Job Summary

Manages the development of scope and designs in teams to support large capital projects across the enterprise. Responsible for managing one or more projects within scope and quality constraints, supporting the project manager in delivering projects on time and within budget, meeting engineered requirements and customer satisfaction. Chairs regular update meetings with management on scope, budget, engineering costs, schedules, and estimates for engineering designs. Responsible for training new project engineers. This is an individual contributor role.

Key Accountabilities

• Provides engineering leadership for multiple capital projects of varying sizes.
• Acts as the primary interface for resolving engineering design issues across electrical distribution, transmission, power, generation, and gas sectors.
• Supports project estimators in cost estimation.

Minimum Education & Experience

Bachelor's degree in engineering, engineering technology, or construction management, with at least 8 years of relevant experience.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in utility project and outage management.
• PMP/PMI certification.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license from Michigan.
