Job summary

Westinghouse is seeking a Principal Project Controls Specialist to manage scheduling across a portfolio of projects. The role reports to the Manager of Projects and can be 100% remote, with location in Shoreview, MN.

You will lead scheduling activities and coordinate with Project Managers, Engineering, and Manufacturing to ensure schedule integrity. Required qualifications include a Bachelor's degree in a related field, 6+ years of experience, and Primavera P6 scheduling proficiency.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in project management, engineering, business, accounting, construction management or a related technical discipline.
• 6+ years of experience in the functional/technical area.
• Primavera scheduling experience required.

Responsibilities

• Utilize scheduling databases and ERP systems to develop and maintain project schedules.
• Lead schedule review meetings with project teams including Project Managers, Engineering and Manufacturing.
• Establish schedule baselines and track schedule adherence performance.
• Serve as the project controls subject matter expert focusing on project scheduling.
• Demonstrate advanced communication, cross-cultural awareness and leadership skills.
• Apply tools and techniques to plan work that reduces inefficiencies and improves scheduling performance.
• Promote teamwork, maintain and share project schedules, and keep stakeholders informed of status.
• Identify opportunities for improvement and capture lessons learned for future work.

About The Role

As a Principal Project Controls Specialist, you will be responsible for project control scheduling activities across low- to high-complexity projects, including a portfolio of low complexity projects or a subset of high complexity programs.

You will report to the Manager of Projects and be located at Shoreview, MN, but this position can be 100% remote.

• Utilize project scheduling databases, manufacturing work management systems and the ERP system to develop and maintain project schedules.
• Lead schedule review meetings with project teams consisting of Project Managers, Engineering and Manufacturing.
• Establish schedule baselines and track schedule adherence performance.
• Serve as the project controls subject matter expert focusing on project scheduling.
• Demonstrate advanced communication, cross-cultural awareness and leadership skills.
• Apply tools and techniques to plan work that reduces inefficiencies and improves overall project scheduling performance.
• Promote teamwork, maintain and share project schedules, and ensure team, customer and stakeholders are kept informed of project scheduling status.
• Identify and communicate opportunities for improvement and lessons learned for future work.

Base salary range: $103,200 to $129,000 per year.
