We are looking for a Project Controls Specialist – Scheduling Discipline who will be responsible for a subset of the project controls activities within the FH&ES project portfolio, including projects with varying complexity such as LEU+ implementation projects that span multiple organizations within Westinghouse.
About The Role
You will report to the Resource Operations Manager and work a hybrid schedule based in Cranberry, PA.
Key Responsibilities
- Communicate required information promptly: coordinate required tasks/deadlines, elevate issues, and provide early warning of potential issues or opportunities to appropriate levels of management.
- Initiate and plan all controls aspects of a project, including establishing project baselines and creating risk registers; use schedule, cost, and risk analytics to confirm validity of the overall program plan.
- Assume overall project responsibility of schedule; support project managers to ensure projects are delivered within budget and oversee schedule adherence.
- Maintain understanding of program scope with project goals and make recommendations to modify the program to enhance effectiveness toward project goals or strategic intent.
- Oversee closure of projects within the program; communicate opportunities for improvement, lessons learned, and risk avoidance for future work.
- Develop relationships with product line teams, customers, and suppliers; serve as project controls contact for internal and external stakeholders.
- Align partner expectations to achieve overall acceptance of Project Controls goals.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Project Management, Engineering, Business, Construction Management, or related technical discipline.
- Advanced degree in the same areas is preferred.
- 5+ years of project controls experience; equivalent overall experience may be considered.
- Experience in a technical industry such as engineering, manufacturing, nuclear, or construction.
- Proficiency with project schedule tools including Primavera and MS Project.
