Job summary

Northrop Grumman Plymouth, MN is seeking a Production Planner and Scheduler (or Principal) to manage production schedules for the Armament Systems unit. The role requires coordinating with materials, QA, engineering and manufacturing to ensure timely delivery and optimal resource use.

Candidates must have 6–9 years of experience with preferred Bachelor’s or MS, be a US citizen, and be able to obtain a security clearance.

Qualifications

• Production Planner and Scheduler: 6 years of experience; Bachelor’s degree with 2 years experience or MS with 0 years.
• Principal Production Planner and Scheduler: 9 years of experience; Bachelor’s degree with 5 years or MS with 3 years.
• Experience in MS Office Applications.
• US Citizenship with the ability to obtain/maintain a security clearance if required.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• 10% Domestic Travel.

Responsibilities

• Plans, prepares, issues and controls production schedules and coordinates with material requirements.
• Advises management of status of work in progress, material availability, and potential production problems.
• Schedules equipment and personnel, confirms material supply and demands, prepares work orders or purchase requests.
• Coordinates interdepartmental activity with QA, manufacturing, purchasing, engineering, inventory control, traffic.
