Principal Product Manager - Technical, Alexa Customer Journeys

Job ID: 2898394 | Amazon.com Services LLC

Are you passionate about building bar-raising experiences that will personalize Generative AI into customer's daily lives? Do you thrive in tackling innovative new problem spaces? Do you want to work in a fast-paced environment surrounded by the smartest and most customer-obsessed product, engineering, marketing, and data science leaders on the planet, where the future is still to be defined?

The Alexa Customer Journeys team is looking for a Principal Product Manager - Technical with the experience and passion to dive deep and drive impact across the tech, science, design, and stakeholder teams, to invent and scale identity solutions for Generative AI use cases. The role requires leaders with technical depth as well as strong ability to influence cross-functionally and outside their direct reporting line.

Our team is focused on ensuring every Alexa customer receives personalized assistance that helps them achieve more in their daily life. Our team builds a combination of end customer experiences and horizontal systems that are scaled across hardware and software experiences. We strive to keep things Day 1, and fun. We are located across Seattle (WA) & Bellevue (WA).

This role will be focused on building a roadmap for Alexa personalization focused on what Alexa can learn about a customer from their different interactions with Alexa and Amazon Products:

  1. Drive clarity out of ambiguity and define a clear vision, strategy and requirements for customer scenarios.
  2. Develop and manage mechanisms that ensure high quality at speed and scale.
  3. Represent the voice of customer through external and internal research and map to customer needs.
  4. Work with engineering, applied science, and UX/design to advance state of the art.
  5. Drive adoption, engagement, and experimentation of your products.
  6. Collaborate and partner closely across Amazon to amplify personalized experiences.
Key job responsibilities

This is a horizontal product role spanning multiple delivery orgs in a functional product team. This team is central to delivery of a Generative AI-based service at a high quality bar. The right candidate will possess an understanding of engaging with science and engineering teams to deliver foundational technologies and customer experience at a high quality bar.

A day in the life

Cut through ambiguity, apply mechanisms, deliver requirements and engage deeply with science, engineering, feature, and UX teams to deliver bar-raising, personalized customer experiences. Ultimately, you own the customer experience, with customer satisfaction as your ultimate success measure. You will engage with science and engineering teams daily, and update senior leadership on progress weekly. This is a high velocity, high ambiguity problem space; scrappiness and ability to drive teams with clarity will allow for success.
