Remitly is seeking a Principal Product Manager to own the core Remitly Business workflow, including payouts, approvals, reconciliation, and integrations. You will define the strategy to deepen customer usage, balance sheet impact, and revenue per business customer while navigating regulatory constraints.
The role reports to the VP/GM of Remitly Business, is an individual contributor with no direct reports, and operates within a hybrid model with 3+ days in our Seattle headquarters.
At Remitly, we believe everyone deserves the freedom to access, move, and manage their money wherever life takes them. Since 2011, we've tirelessly delivered on our promise to customers sending money globally, providing secure, simple, and reliable ways to manage their money, ensuring true peace of mind. Whether it's supporting loved ones back home, growing a business across continents, or pursuing new opportunities abroad, we're not just here to move money— we're here to move our global customers forward.
Remitly has moved $100B+ helping families send money across borders. That built a world-class payout network, rails, licenses, and trust at consumer scale. Remitly Business puts all of it to work for the millions of small businesses paying contractors, suppliers, and staff internationally & and we're hiring the Principal Product Manager who'll own the core of it.
Businesses run real payables through us every cycle, and the acquisition motion works. This role owns depth: whether they come back, what share of their payables runs through us, and how much of the finance workflow they do elsewhere we take over. Revenue and profit per business customer is how that lands on the P&L. You'll carry it.
The workflow layer is where the next several years of this product get built — batch, scheduled, and recurring payments, recipient management, approvals, reconciliation, export, and the integrations into the tools businesses already use to move money.
The hard part isn't building workflows. It's that "small business" isn't one customer. A twelve-person construction firm paying subcontractors and a forty-person agency paying overseas designers have different cycles, different approval chains, and different reasons to trust you with a payment. Depth arrives in layers, and the workflow that retains one segment barely registers for another. You'll decide which layers generalize, which are segment-specific, and which aren't ours to build.
You’ll report to the VP/GM of Remitly Business and work with them daily; your strategy will be read and questioned by the CEO. It's an individual contributor role with no direct reports and unusual scope - a self-contained team with the distribution, balance sheet, and payout network of a public company behind it. Like every leader here, you'll raise the bar around you.
We're looking for builders who find the problem before anyone hands it to them: your own customer relationships, your own data cuts, your own opportunities, and accountability long after launch.
This is a hybrid role requiring 3+ days per week in the Remitly Seattle headquarters.
Twelve months in, success looks like a materially higher share of each customer's payables moving through Remitly, better retention in the cohorts you chose to go after, and new workflow surfaces live and adopted.
This Role Isn't For You If: You need the problem defined before you'll commit to a direction, or you measure yourself by what shipped rather than what moved. It's also not for you if you want the clean version of a zero-to-one — this one comes with existing customers, existing revenue, and a working motion you can't break while you build. And if "small business" is one persona rather than a dozen, the layered nature of this problem will not interest you.
