Job summary

Great Minds seeks a Principal Product Manager to lead discovery and execution for content authoring tools, end-user delivery experiences, and the CMS. This high-impact role collaborates with design, engineering, curriculum, and assessment teams to ensure scalable, coherent platforms for K–12 instructional content and assessments.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of product management experience.
• Experience building products serving multiple user types (authors, teachers, students, admins, internal teams).
• Deep understanding of content authoring tools, CMS platforms, and structured content systems.
• Strong systems thinking; able to reason about data models, workflows and downstream impacts.
• Proven ability to influence without authority and lead through collaboration.
• Comfort working hands-on with detailed requirements while maintaining strategic perspective.

Responsibilities

• Define and evolve the product vision for content authoring tools and CMS.
• Balance usability for authors with structural rigor for delivery, analytics, and interoperability.
• Translate instructional intent into scalable software capabilities with curriculum/assessment teams.
• Form strategy for delivery of authored content to teachers, students, and administrators.
• Ensure delivery experiences are performant, accessible, and instructionally sound; validate with designers.
• Initiate and guide CMS direction including content models, workflows, permissions, versioning, and publishing.
• Set clear product strategy and success metrics for authoring, delivery, and CMS capabilities.
• Write roadmaps and product requirements; collaborate with design and engineering; manage trade-offs.
• Act as SME on content platforms for Great Minds products; reduce friction across content lifecycle.
