Job summary

Palo Alto Networks is seeking a Principal Product Manager to lead data security for AI traffic, partnering with Prisma AIRS to build an AI runtime security platform. You will define the data classification and protection engine for modern AI applications and ensure enterprises govern prompts, responses, and tool calls.

You will drive product strategy by spotting security gaps, prioritizing features, and translating insights into concrete specifications.

Qualifications

• BS or MS in CS or related engineering/technical degree.
• 8+ years in technical product mgmt, development, or enterprise services.
• Strong domain in data security: DLP, data classification, DSPM, CASB, or data governance.
• Knowledge of modern AI app architectures, LLM APIs, RAG, vector databases, agent frameworks.
• Familiarity with AI security frameworks: OWASP for LLM, MITRE ATLAS, NIST AI RMF.
• Experience partnering with product and engineering teams.
• Ability to measure detection systems and balance false positives with latency.
• Proven track record of owning full product lifecycle.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.

Responsibilities

• Own data security for AI traffic, including detection coverage, accuracy, and Prisma AIRS integration.
• Ensure high detection quality for prompts, responses, retrieved context, and tool calls.
• Prioritize features, balance detection coverage, false positives, and latency budgets.
• Drive market analysis, requirements development, business cases, product strategy, and positioning.
• Engage customers for executive briefings, product evangelism, and gathering technical requirements.
• Collaborate effectively across the organization, partnering deeply with engineering, sales, and cross‑functional teams.
