Job description

The Principal Product Engineer will drive the development, yield optimization, and deployment of MEMS-based timing products. This technical leadership role focuses on managing complex mixed-signal or MEMS products throughout their high-volume manufacturing lifecycle, utilizing advanced statistical methods to analyze large datasets and resolve performance anomalies.Working closely with cross-functional engineering teams, this role oversees product performance across process, voltage, temperature, and reliability stresses. The position requires deep expertise in semiconductor device behavior to implement design of experiments (DOE) and collaborate with foundry, assembly, and test partners to ensure robust product releases.

Responsibilities
  • Lead product engineering activities from concept through high-volume ramp for MEMS oscillators, resonators, and timing ICs.
  • Analyze large datasets to assess product performance across process, voltage, temperature, and reliability stresses.
  • Partner with test engineering teams to design, develop, and deploy efficient and robust production test solutions.
  • Drive root-cause analysis and problem-solving initiatives for device performance and yield issues during development.
  • Implement design of experiments (DOE) to optimize parameters, improve yield, and reduce test costs.
  • Collaborate with foundry, assembly, and test partners to resolve process and equipment-related issues.
Requirements
  • 8+ years of experience in Product Engineering, Semiconductor Device Engineering, or MEMS technology.
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science, Physics, or a related technical field.
  • Proficiency in data analysis tools, specifically Exensio, JMP, MATLAB, or Python.
  • Proven experience with high-volume manufacturing, automated test equipment (ATE) flows, and statistical process control (SPC).
  • Ability to work onsite 5 days a week in Santa Clara, CA.
  • C2 English level or higher.
  • Hands-on experience with ATE Test Flows, Design of Experiments.
