OPENLANE is seeking a Principal Product Designer to lead end-to-end product design for complex enterprise tools. You will drive design strategy, mentor designers, and collaborate with product managers, engineers, and executives to align design with business goals.

You’ll own research, wireframes, prototypes, and the design system, shaping a scalable user experience while thriving in a fast-paced, remote-friendly environment.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience as a Product Designer, with senior or principal leadership roles.
• Strong portfolio demonstrating end-to-end product design across devices.
• Expertise in design and prototyping tools.
• Experience designing for B2B or complex enterprise applications is a plus.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Bias for action, self-direction, and thriving in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Take ownership of user experience for a specific product area from concept to launch.
• Conduct user research to inform designs.
• Create design artifacts: wireframes, prototypes, user flows, high-fidelity mockups.
• Collaborate with engineers to ensure designs are implemented to a high standard.
• Contribute to and evolve the design system for consistency and efficiency.
• Champion a user-centric design culture across the organization.
