Job summary

Capital One is seeking a Principal Associate, Product Design to lead design system work on the Card Servicing Experience. You’ll scale reusable components, govern design system docs, and partner with design & tech teams to deliver consistent experiences across the agent platform.

You’ll mentor designers, collaborate with product owners, and help drive a human-centered design practice that balances customer needs with business goals in a regulated financial services environment.

Qualifications

• At least 3 years of experience in a Product Design role.
• Experience with design and prototyping tools, such as Figma.
• Experience leading a design system.

Responsibilities

• Oversee work on the agent platform and its design system & governance processes.
• Co-create reusable componentry and patterns across the product portfolio.
• Collaborate with designers across teams to validate and evolve components; mentor others.
• Partner with Product Owners to prioritize roadmaps and align with business goals.
• Perform QA on the design system components and documentation.
