Job summary

Workiva is seeking a Principal Product Designer to lead experience strategy for the Workiva Platform. This senior role shapes the long-term vision, focusing on AI experiences, systems thinking, and workflow transformation.

You’ll partner with Product and Engineering to define platform direction, scale design systems, and mentor designers across teams while delivering human-centered, AI-enabled solutions for complex enterprise use cases.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in product design, UX, or related fields with platform/enterprise experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in Design, HCI, or equivalent (or 8 years with Master’s; or PhD with 6 years).
• Track record delivering 0→1 products and scaling them in market.

Responsibilities

• Define and drive the long-term user experience vision across the Workiva Platform.
• Lead AI-powered experiences, including generative interfaces and intelligent automation.
• Rethink and redesign workflows for simpler, faster enterprise interactions.
• Design human-in-the-loop moments with clarity and trust.
• Lead cross-functional discovery to produce scalable solutions.
• Establish reusable patterns and information architecture across products.
• Shape platform direction with Product and Engineering leadership.
• Advance design systems governance and consistency at scale.
• Mentor Lead and Senior Designers to raise craft standards.
