Zocdoc in New York is seeking a Principal Product Designer to shape the future of how patients discover care and how providers deliver it, across marketplace and provider surfaces. You will define design direction, establish systems, and influence product strategy in a highly ambiguous, multi-team environment.

As AI-native product development grows, you will lead collaboration with design and engineering, set new standards for concept-to-production, and mentor teams to scale impact for millions

Responsibilities

• Defining and leading design direction across complex, multi-team product areas, identifying high-leverage opportunities and guiding teams toward impactful solutions
• Partnering with product, engineering, data, and leadership to shape strategy, influence roadmaps, and drive alignment across ambiguous spaces
• Designing and overseeing cohesive, end-to-end experiences across systems, ensuring scalability and consistency across marketplace and provider and practice products
• Establishing and evolving design systems, frameworks, and patterns for extensible solutions
• Elevating the quality bar through hands-on work, critique, and mentorship while connecting execution to a broader product vision
• Driving efficient delivery of high-impact work, guiding tradeoffs between speed, fidelity, and long-term scalability
• Leading the integration of AI-native workflows, using emerging tools to accelerate concept-to-production cycles
