As part of the Energy Systems Global Supply Chain Solution (GSCS) Team, the Principal Procurement Engineer will ideally have strong technical and project management knowledge.

The Principal Procurement Engineer will lead and oversee all procurement activities (pre-PO and post-PO) for Energy Systems, focusing on ensuring components are delivered on schedule, on budget, and meet all quality requirements.

This role involves managing large-scale procurement projects, working with cross-functional teams, and developing, executing, and reporting on project implementation plans. The candidate will partner with GSCS teams to support project charters, benefits, and resource planning, monitor project status, resolve issues, and develop sourcing plans to minimize risks and generate savings.

The candidate should possess strong project management skills, procurement expertise (RFx, supplier relationships, contract management), and a technical background (civil, mechanical, electrical, etc.) to purchase equipment and services. They will interface with internal departments and external suppliers, requiring strong relationship skills and the ability to provide clear, timely, and innovative solutions.

Travel is expected at 10-20%.

Your Day-to-Day Responsibilities:

• Sign off on safety-related requisitions.
• Review and communicate safety and procurement requirements with suppliers.
• Support sourcing and procurement strategies, including RFx processes, supplier communication, and contract negotiations.
• Analyze costs, develop strategies to maximize supplier value, and maintain supplier relationships.
• Ensure compliance with policies and regulations.
• Manage supply commitments, handle contract changes, and support invoice resolution.

Who You Are:

• BA/BS degree in engineering.
• 5+ years of experience, typically 10-12 years.
• PMP certification is a plus.
