Job summary

The City of Roseville invites applications for the Principal Power Plant Engineer, leading a three-person engineering team at the Roseville Energy Park. You will oversee operations, maintenance and design efforts for a fleet of gas-fired plants and drive capital upgrades to improve efficiency and reliability.

Requires a mechanical engineering degree and a California PE license (license preferred). The role offers a Monday–Friday schedule with occasional after-hours work and a chance to shape the

Qualifications

• Two years of responsible professional engineering experience.
• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in mechanical engineering or a related field.
• Possession of a valid California driver’s license by date of appointment; California PE license desirable but not required.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of three engineers to support operations, maintenance and design for the REP fleet.
• Design and construct capital upgrades to improve efficiency and flexibility of the power plants.
• Oversee O&M support activities and coordinate with operations to ensure reliable generation.
