Job summary

Advanced Energy is seeking a Principal Electronic Engineer to lead design, development, testing, and documentation of power conversion products. You will interact with customers to identify requirements, provide direction to engineers, and guide program-specific work.

The role requires 12+ years in power electronics, strong problem-solving, and mentoring abilities, with domestic and international travel up to 10% and location in Eden Prairie, MN.

Qualifications

• 12+ years of experience in power electronics
• Experience with Switch Mode Power Supplies / Power Electronics
• B.S. in Electrical or Computer Engineering or related field

Responsibilities

• Design and analysis of systems, products, and subsystems to specification, cost, budget, schedule, and quality goals.
• Diagnose issues of diverse scope with design, field performance, reliability and test yields and implement corrective actions.
• Assume responsibility for the success of the product/system in customer applications and implement corrective actions as needed.
• Follow key engineering procedures in the Product Development Process and ECO process.
• Work with manufacturing locations and supply chain groups to implement cost reductions, manufacturability and quality improvements.
