Job summary

Intuit Inc. is seeking a Principal Product Manager for Mailchimp's Platform & API team to define and lead the strategy for a comprehensive AI-powered API platform, developer portal, and Model Context Protocol (MCP) experiences.

You will own the vision, roadmap, and execution for externalization, developer experience, and agentic access across APIs and MCP tools. You will partner with Partnerships, engineering, and GTM to ship high-value third-party app integrations, map data objects and events

Qualifications

10+ years of product management experience with a track record of building platforms and APIs at scale.
Deep understanding of AI technologies (agentic systems, LLMs, MCP, ML platforms) and API / developer-platform architectures (REST/OpenAPI, OAuth 2.0, scopes, rate limiting, webhooks, versioning, sandboxes, SDK/CLI generation).
Hands-on experience defining and shipping MCP servers or equivalent agent-callable interfaces.
Strong track record of delivering platform capabilities for external developers or partner ecosystems, including marketplace or certification programs.
Experience partnering with Partnerships, Engineering, and Go-to-Market to ship third-party integrations, including selecting and mapping the data objects and events customers need to activate marketing outcomes (leads, conversion, nurturing).
Exceptional written and verbal communication; able to translate highly technical platform work into customer, developer, and business implications.

Responsibilities

Define and lead a bold, multi-year vision and strategy for Mailchimp’s public API platform, developer portal, and official MCP server as first-class surfaces for human developers and AI agents.
Own the four pillars of the developer-ecosystem strategy: Federated API Platform, Best-in-Class Developer Experience, Third-Party App Lifecycle Management, and Trust & Governance.
Identify partner data objects and events and map them into Mailchimp audience, events, and activation surfaces to generate leads, convert, and nurture.
Provide product thought leadership by VOC, support-volume analysis, ecosystem feedback, and agent-era research on how tools discover and recommend Mailchimp.
Translate vision into an execution roadmap with measurable outcomes aligned to FY27 priorities — including AI-First Platform KRs for agent-callable interfaces and context for agents.
Lead the developer-portal modernization (Fern / Keystone) with interactive docs, 9 auto-generated SDKs, CLI, and versioned documentation.
Establish MCP as a governed product with scopes, auditability, certification, and a clear ownership model versus domain MCP tools.
Leverage AI to enable personalized, proactive, contextually relevant developer and agent experiences from docs to codegen.
Influence senior executives and evolve operating model so domain teams ship API and MCP parity without bottlenecks.
Collaborate across Design, Engineering, AI/ML, Support, Partnerships, Security, Privacy, and GTM to deliver scalable platform experiences.
