Job summary

Arc XP, a cloud-based digital experience platform and division of The Washington Post, seeks a Principal Product Manager to shape the future of AI-native content. You’ll own the Content Platform vision, orchestrating content creation, enrichment, and delivery across multiple pods while guiding a broader strategic narrative.

You will operate as a fractional PM, partnering with Content Creation, Cloud Platform, and Developer Experience teams to drive scalable tooling for human creators and AI

Qualifications

• 10+ years in product management, with at least 5 years on content platforms or digital experience platforms.
• Demonstrated experience defining and shipping AI-powered product capabilities, including how AI changes workflows, data models, and user expectations.
• Deep familiarity with headless/decoupled content architectures, content modeling, and API-first platform design.

Responsibilities

• Define long-term vision and strategy for Arc's Content Platform, establishing how AI transforms content creation, management, orchestration, and delivery.
• Lead evolution of AI-native content capabilities by embedding intelligent automation throughout the lifecycle.
• Drive evolution of Arc's content architecture, APIs, and platform capabilities for human creators and AI systems.
• Build and maintain a strategic product roadmap sequencing foundational investments, AI capabilities, and developer experience improvements.
• Partner with engineering, design, and customer-facing teams to define requirements, prioritize investments, and deliver platform capabilities through iterative development.
• Align direction across multiple pods to reinforce a unified vision and measurable outcomes.
• Champion AI-first ways of working by applying AI tools across discovery, planning, research, and prototyping.
• Represent Arc XP with customers and partners to influence standards and translate industry direction into product strategy.
• Build feedback loops with customers, developers, and stakeholders to refine direction and outcomes.
• Define success metrics, monitor platform performance, and communicate priorities to leadership.
