Job summary

Anduril Industries is seeking a principal-level engineer to lead platform security, owning cryptographic infrastructure and hardware root-of-trust across autonomous platforms. You will shape security architecture, design secure communications for contested environments, and mentor teams across hardware, firmware, and software.

The role requires deep cryptography, systems security, and the ability to drive security strategy with business lines and the platform, including cross-team collaboration

Qualifications

• 8+ years of software engineering experience with deep systems security and cryptography.
• Expert-level knowledge of cryptographic protocol design, key management, and cryptographic agility.
• Hands-on hardware security experience: TPM/TEE/HSM/secure boot across platforms.
• Proficient in two or more of: C++, Rust, Go.
• Experience designing security architectures for embedded/real-time/robotic systems.
• Proven track record leading cross-functional security initiatives and architectural decisions.
• Strong ability to communicate complex security concepts to leadership and engineers.
• Eligible to obtain and maintain active U.S. Secret security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Own the technical vision and architecture for platform security across Anduril’s product ecosystem.
• Design cryptographic systems, protocols, and key management for autonomous platforms in contested environments.
• Lead hardware root-of-trust architectures across embedded platforms.
• Drive strategy to promote security implementations into shared platform services.
• Serve as senior technical authority for security architecture reviews.
