Job summary

Salesforce is seeking a Principal Software Engineer (PMTS) to lead the Agentforce Process Intelligence backend and data stack. You will own end-to-end architecture for backend services and full-stack apps that enable enterprises to discover, simulate, and optimize business processes at scale.

You will shape the long-term technical vision, drive API strategy, and ensure high availability, security, and multi-tenancy across Java/Python services deployed on Kubernetes in a global cloud footprint.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of professional software development experience, shipping enterprise SaaS at scale.
• Strong proficiency in Java and Python with production-grade fluency.
• Experience with Spring Boot, Hibernate/JPA, Tomcat, and relational DBs.
• Architectural expertise in multi-tenant SaaS, cloud platforms, and tenant isolation.
• Experience designing, operating for high availability across AWS or similar clouds.
• Proven leadership in API strategy for headless/API-first products and enterprise integrations.
• Experience with automated testing and incident response at scale.

Responsibilities

• Drive architecture, design, and delivery of secure, scalable backend services on Kubernetes.
• Set the 12–18 month technical vision for Backend/Full-Stack pillar and modernize Java services.
• Own Python-based data processing services and ETL pipelines feeding large-scale analytics.
• Lead API strategy for headless architecture and multi-cloud integrations with customers and partners.
• Architect database consolidation and migrations (PostgreSQL, Liquibase) with tenant isolation.
• Define SLIs/SLOs with Product and drive observability, rollout safety, and incidents.
