Job summary

Pearson is modernizing its content platform into a set of shared services. You will guide design and hands-on implementation across UI, workflows, AI, backend services, and cloud infrastructure.

Expect to own technical plans, migrations, and platform standards while mentoring engineers and driving measurable outcomes. You will work across teams, define problem statements, and deliver critical paths with high impact, including production migrations and end-to-end platform improvements.

Qualifications

• 12+ years building and operating production software.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
• Experience leading multi-team platforms or large multi-service systems.

Responsibilities

• Own the technical plan and delivery for multiple tracks from design through launch.
• Lead migrations of large content and data assets with integrity checks.
• Define shared capabilities and APIs for cross-team use.
• Provide honest view of technical debt and prioritization.
• Act as technical point of contact for incidents with RCA and fixes.
• Ensure security and stability with upgrades, testing, and DR plans.
• Set standards for design, tooling, reliability, observability, and AI safety.
• Develop long-term technical roadmaps for the area.
