The impact you will have in this role:

Being a member of the Systems Engineering family you will be responsible for the entire technical effort to evolve and verify solutions that satisfy client needs. The primary focus is centered on reducing risk and improving the efficiency, performance, stability, security, and quality of all systems and platforms. The Platform Hosting & Engineering role specializes in the development, implementation, and support of all distributed, mainframe, and network hosting services across the firm. Responsible for the installation, configuration, programming, and support of operating systems, complex networks, and distributed environments, deploying solutions to increase overall system reliability across the firm.

Your Primary Responsibilities:

• Supervise the installation and configuration of selected technologies
• Coordinate effective fixing and resolution of active infrastructure and application incidents.
• Engage in Incident and Problem post-mortem reviews, providing appropriate feedback regarding challenges faced, opportunities for improvement, etc.
• Deep dive into application functionality by reviewing logs, monitoring tools, and other documentation.
• Collaborate with various collaborators groups and team members to design and validate required solutions that meet DTCC standards for security, resiliency, and reusability
• Lead immediate support for production issues related to areas of expertise
• Coordinate and support for off-hour / weekend implementations, and Disaster Recovery tests as required
• Author system documentation and supporting documents to ensure transparency of design to minimize future maintenance costs
• Deliver targeted business outcomes by participating in the technical decision-making process
• Analyze changing business requirements to determine impact and optimal solution regarding defining the future state technical architecture
• Follow established DTCC requirements, principles and models that guide technology decisions for the enterprise (best practices)
• Applies knowledge of technology trends and the practical application of existing, new, and emerging technologies to contribute to the decision-making process
• Monitor metrics to ensure system performance meets requirements
• Collaborate with the enterprise architect to define metrics that measure and demonstrate enterprise technology value.
• Direct and facilitates the research, evaluation, and selection of software/hardware technology and product standards, as well as the design of standard configurations.
• Mitigates risk by following established procedures and monitoring controls, spotting key errors and demonstrating strong ethical behavior.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 8 years of related experience
• Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent experience.

• Knowledge and expertise in operating systems (Red hat, Windows, z/OS), virtualization (VMWARE, OpenShift), CISCO networking, and storage technologies (EMC, NetApp).
• Must possess strong critical thinking and technical troubleshooting skills.

The salary range is indicative for roles at the same level within DTCC across all US locations.
