Job summary

Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems in Melbourne, FL is seeking a Principal Engineer Planning Analyst to coordinate with technical leadership and cross-functional IPTs to ensure cost, schedule, and technical objectives are met. This onsite role emphasizes ownership of Training and Support Equipment development within a robust program management framework.

Preferred candidates have strong experience in CAM and EVM, with a track record in cost control and earned value.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree with 5 years’ experience, OR Master’s degree, with 3 years’ experience; PhD with 1 year experience.
• Experience in project management and/or control account management.
• Experience with CAM and EVM methodologies.
• Experience in contracts executing full-earned value management.
• Proficiency in MS Office applications including Excel, Word, Project, and Power Point

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with technical leadership in a cross functional Integrated Program Team (IPT) to meet program cost, schedule, and technical objectives.
• Develop and deliver presentations to customers, management, and other program stakeholders.
• Define, plan, perform, monitor, control, and complete a variety of project tasks to include developing Engineering rhythm.
• Track budget actuals against predictions and financial performance against the full EV performance management baseline, participate in CAM status calls, prepare status for/attend weekly status meeting, provide bi-monthly Integrated Master Schedule (IMS) status, support stakeholder meetings, review Actual Hours reports for time charging accuracy and alignment with IMS status.
