Job summary

May Mobility is expanding its robotics engineering team and seeks a Perception Lead to guide how our autonomous shuttles perceive the world. You will own the technical direction, set high standards, mentor engineers, and deliver scalable, production-grade perception capabilities.

The role focuses on scene detection, robustness under rain/snow/fog, and major architectural updates to the perception stack. Strong C/C++/Python and ML/DL experience required.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5+ years in real-world robot systems.
• Master's degree in Robotics, CS, or CE.
• Proven architectural leadership for perception/autonomy stacks.

Responsibilities

• Own the technical direction of perception in autonomous vehicles.
• Lead architectural updates to perception stack for scalability and latency.
• Design and test scene detection and runtime activation logic.
• Improve perception robustness under degraded/weather conditions.
• Integrate multi-modal models into perception stack.
• Mentor engineers and drive feature development and testing.
