WeRide.ai Silicon Valley team is seeking a Perception Engineer to advance perception and ML algorithms for autonomous driving. You will work on end-to-end ML solutions with sensor fusion, improving obstacle detection, 3D localization, and scene understanding.

The role emphasizes C++ development, cross-functional collaboration, and delivering robust onboard and offboard systems for complex driving scenarios in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Strong abilities in algorithms and C++ coding, or strong expertise in computer vision, machine learning, or model optimization.
• Solid skills in problem solving, algorithms, and data analysis.
• Good communication and coordination skills.
• Self-motivated and believe in the future of self-driving cars.

Responsibilities

• Research and develop end-to-end ML solutions for Perception with sensor fusion.
• Obstacle detection and 3D location understanding; motion properties and fine-grained attributes.
• Drivable space understanding and 3D occupancy mapping
• Map sensing including lane boundary and topology
• Scene understanding such as traffic lights and vehicle intent
• Develop onboard system and robust offboard loop for fast iteration on rare scenarios
