Principal Organist/ Pianist for Holy Trinity Lutheran Church

Status: Part Time, hourly, up to 10 hours per week

Pay Range: $33 – $37 per hour

FLSA: Non-Exempt

Job Summary

Holy Trinity Lutheran Church in Thousand Oaks CA is seeking a part-time organist/pianist to lead music for worship on Sunday mornings and to accompany the Choir from September to June. The choir is off during the Summer. Choir rehearsal is on Thursdays from 7:00pm to 8:30pm. Sunday worship responsibilities are from 10:00am to 12:00pm, inclusive of rehearsing with the choir before worship. The organist is offered four weeks, unpaid vacation, each year.

The Principal Organist/Pianist will provide musical support for congregational singing, and instrumental music for worship services. They may also be asked to assist the Music Minister in finding special guest musicians as needed. This is all to help enhance the spirit of worship within the congregation. The Principal Organist/Pianist will strive to provide a warm, friendly atmosphere, and a spiritually nurturing and musically encouraging environment.
