Job summary

Trinity Episcopal Church in Allendale, New Jersey is seeking a part-time organist-pianist to enhance our Sunday worship with music. Collaborate with the liturgical team to select appropriate music for Sundays and holidays, and provide organ/piano accompaniment for hymns during services.

The role includes about 1.5 hours of service time each Sunday plus an independent rehearsal, with two weeks of paid vacation annually and opportunities for weddings and funerals.

Qualifications

  • Demonstrated proficiency and comfort playing both the organ and piano, with the organ considered primary.
  • Some knowledge of sacred music traditions and liturgical planning is preferred, but not required.

Job description

Trinity Episcopal Church in Allendale, New Jersey is seeking a passionate and skilled part-time organist-pianist to help elevate our regular Sunday service through music.

Principal Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with a designated member of our liturgical team to select appropriate music for our Sunday service and special holidays.
  • Provide accompaniment to the hymns sung at all regular Sunday worship and special seasonal services, as well as selected portions of the services
Time & Benefits:
  • Service timeof ~1.5 hours each Sunday + your independent rehearsal
  • Two Weeks of Paid Vacation per year
  • Additional income opportunity for weddings and funerals

Compensation:
