Job summary

QuEra Computing Inc. is seeking a Principal Optical Engineer to lead the design and development of optical modules for neutral atom quantum computers.

You will collaborate with physicists to translate requirements into manufacturable systems and drive the product through R&D, productization, and field deployment. You should have a strong foundation in optics, engineering leadership experience in an enterprise environment, and the ability to push state-of-the-art designs into scalable production

Qualifications

• Master's degree in optics, optical engineering, applied physics, or closely related field.
• 10–15 years non-academic work experience in enterprise engineering environment.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop optical modules from concept to production.
• Collaborate with physicists to define requirements and architect optical systems.
• Lead an interdisciplinary engineering team through the product development lifecycle.
• Advance engineering practices through independent research and continuous improvement.
