Rocketlab is seeking a Principal Network Software Engineer in Littleton, CO. The successful candidate will manage software development for communication systems used in space programs. This role requires extensive experience in network software, project management, and a deep understanding of the software development lifecycle.
Key responsibilities include interface management, supplier coordination, and development of testing methodologies. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor’s degree and more than 12 years of industry experience.
Rocket Lab is looking for a driven Principal Network Software Engineer to be based out of our office in Littleton, CO. This role will work with a team of engineers on Rocket Lab’s flagship efforts to deliver on program milestones related to Space-to-Space Communications, Space-to-Ground Communications, Payload Software, and Data Security. The successful candidate will have prior experience managing software development efforts for embedded systems and government programs. Knowledge of secure network systems is a must-have, with RF and spacecraft experience being an additional benefit. This role will report to the Senior Director of Space Systems Software.
The expected salary range for the position is $170,000 – $220,000 USD. Base salary is only one part of Rocket Lab’s compensation package for this role.
