Job summary

AT&T in Dallas, Texas and Southfield, Michigan is seeking a Principal Network Project/Program Manager to quantify benefits and govern financial realization across transformation initiatives. You will partner with Project Management, Finance, Capacity Planning, and Analytics to build business cases and ensure benefits are reflected in results.

You will develop labor cost standards, create ROI models, and deliver executive presentations to guide funding and portfolio decisions while reporting

Qualifications

  • 7+ years of related experience in area of professional responsibility.
  • 5+ years of experience in financial analysis, business case development, operational finance, project valuation, or benefits realization.
  • 3+ years of leadership or people management experience.
  • Demonstrated experience building financial models, ROI analyses, and executive-level presentations.
  • Strong understanding of P&L management, budgeting, and financial reporting.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Proven ability to influence decisions and lead cross-functional initiatives.

Responsibilities

  • Create PQ (Price × Quantity) models to evaluate project benefits.
  • Partner with Finance to validate reported savings and reflect in the P&L through monthly reconciliation.
  • Collaborate with Capacity Planning to quantify labor impacts and time savings.
  • Maintain and govern databases of labor rates, productivity factors, and savings inputs.
  • Establish annual labor cost standards with Finance for accurate analyses.
  • Develop business cases and executive presentations supporting funding and portfolio decisions.
  • Provide leadership with savings forecasts for budgeting and strategic planning.
  • Collaborate with analytics to design controlled studies that support savings assumptions.
  • Track cost pools and expenses to identify savings opportunities.

What you’ll do:

As a Principal Network Project/Program Management position, overseeing Project Value & Benefits Realization, you will be responsible for quantifying, validating, and governing the financial benefits generated through operational improvement and transformation initiatives. This role partners closely with Project Management, Finance, Capacity Planning, and Analytics teams to develop business cases, validate savings, and ensure project benefits are reflected in the organization's financial performance.

What you’ll bring:
  • Partner with project managers to quantify the financial value and ROI of projects and initiatives.

  • Develop and maintain financial models that measure year-over-year savings, productivity improvements, and cost reductions.

  • Create P×Q (Price × Quantity) models to evaluate project benefits and support investment decisions.

  • Partner with Finance to validate that reported savings are realized and reflected in the organization’s P&L through monthly reconciliation processes.

  • Collaborate with Capacity Planning teams to quantify labor impacts, identify affected organizations, and measure time savings associated with project implementation.

  • Maintain and govern databases of labor rates, productivity factors, savings assumptions, and financial model inputs.

  • Establish annual labor cost standards in partnership with Finance to support accurate financial analyses.

  • Develop business cases and executive presentations supporting project funding and portfolio investment decisions.

  • Provide leadership with savings forecasts and benefit realization updates to support budgeting and strategic planning.

  • Partner with analytics and statistical experts to design and validate controlled studies that support savings assumptions and business case development.

  • Track cost pools and operational expenses across organizations to identify savings opportunities and validate project benefit potential.

What you’ll need:
  • Required Experience:

    • 7+ years of related experience in area of professional responsibility

  • Required Qualifications:

    • 5+ years of experience in financial analysis, business case development, operational finance, project valuation, or benefits realization.

    • 3+ years of leadership or people management experience.

    • Demonstrated experience building financial models, ROI analyses, and executive-level presentations.

    • Strong understanding of P&L management, budgeting, and financial reporting.

    • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills.

    • Proven ability to influence decisions and lead cross-functional initiatives.

  • Desired Qualifications:

    • MBA, CPA, CMA, PMP, or related certification.

    • Experience in operational transformation, continuous improvement, or capacity planning environments.

    • Knowledge of statistical analysis, experimental design, and benefits validation methodologies.

    • Success in this role is measured by the accuracy of project valuations, realization of forecasted savings, transparency of benefits reporting, and the organization’s ability to make data-driven investment decisions.

  • Desired Education:

    • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, Engineering, Analytics, or a related field preferred.

Environmental Requirements: This position may be responsible for contributing to AT&T compliance with environmental laws and regulations as applicable to its job function. This may include, but is not limited to, work related to fuel tanks, emergency and stand-by generators, boilers, hazardous waste, hazardous materials, batteries, manholes and vaults, water wells, linear and other construction projects, water discharge, or air emissions.

Our Principal Network Proj/Prog Mgmt jobs earn between $128,400.00 - $215,800.00 USD Annual. Not to mention all the other amazing rewards that working at AT&T offers. Individual starting salary within this range may depend on geography, experience, expertise, and education/training.
