The Team

Enterprise Cybersecurity (ECS) sets Fidelity’s strategy, policy, and standards for the security of and operations in cyberspace. We focus on threat reduction, vulnerability reduction, deterrence, international engagement, incident response, resiliency, and recovery policies and activities. This role is in the Detect and Respond organization.

Job Description

Enterprise Cyber Security is looking for a passionate network security engineer to focus on investigating, building, and implementing security capabilities, standards, and solutions within the external defense division. This role offers significant cross-organizational exposure to evaluate, implement, and manage best-in-class Cyber Tools.

The Expertise You Have
  • A self-starter with a can-do attitude with demonstrated experience in solving complex challenges.
  • Investigate, test, and implement new security capabilities.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot technical issues in various data discovery and data protection technologies.
  • Create Splunk dashboards and queries for monitoring and troubleshooting.
  • Collaborate with SOC, architecture, and other partners to improve security postures.
  • Document and maintain complex technologies and topologies based on security practices: Attention to detail.
  • Develop in-line toolsets (e.g., CASB) for inspection of SaaS repositories and file stores.
  • Evaluate risks and mitigation controls related to business exception requests.
Technical Skills
  • 5+ years in cybersecurity/IT engineering or related fields.
  • 3+ years of experience with implementing and managing SASE solutions (e.g., Zscaler, Palo Alto).
  • Experience with cloud DLP, IPS, malware capabilities (CASB, EDM).
  • Knowledge of network protocols and configurations (SSL, TLS, FTP).
  • Strong knowledge of network and cloud technologies (DNS, Firewall, Splunk, AWS, Azure).
  • Proficiency in using APIs with automation tools.
  • Ability to own and drive change across teams.
  • Knowledge of network proxy protocols/configurations (preferred).
  • Proficiency in automation tools like Jenkins/Ansible.
  • Scripting experience in Python/Bash/Powershell.
  • Knowledge of AWS/Azure environments.
  • Understanding of security standards and frameworks (e.g., NIST).
  • Ability to develop roadmaps for implementing preventative capabilities.
