Job summary

Temple Health in Philadelphia seeks a Principal Network Engineer to design, implement, and maintain our enterprise network, including Cisco/Extreme switching, Palo Alto firewalls, Netscaler, and Infoblox DNS. The role requires three on-site days per week at Women's and Families Hospital; extensive experience (10+ years) in infrastructure design and 5 years with Palo Alto firewalls is expected.

Candidates should have a Bachelor's in CS/IT or equivalent, with strong knowledge of routing,

Qualifications

• 10+ years in enterprise infrastructure design and management.
• 5+ years designing and managing Palo Alto firewalls.
• Experience with network monitoring, management tools, and packet capture analysis (SNMP, NetFlow, Cisco ISE, ThousandEyes, DNA).
• Knowledge of TCP/IP, MPLS, BGP, OSPF, VLANs, SD-WAN, WiFi protocols, and VPNs.

Principal Network Engineer - ( 264829 )

The Principal Network Engineer will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining our organization's network infrastructure. Under minimum supervision, implements mid to large scale complex network projects. Assesses, designs, implements, troubleshoots, and supports a wide range of infrastructure technologies including Cisco and Extreme Switching, Palo Alto Firewalls Cisco and Aruba Wireless, Netscaler Load balancers, and Infoblox DNS.

This role requires three days on-site (Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday) at Temple Health Women's and Families Hospital.

Education

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field Required or
• Combination of relevant education and experience may be considered in lieu of degree Required

Experience

• 10+ years experience designing, implementing, and managing enterprise Infrastructure Required
• 5 years experience designing and managing Palo Alto firewalls Required
• General Experience and knowledge working with network monitoring, management tools and packet capture analysis such as SNMP, NetFlow, Cisco ISE, Thousand Eyes, DNA Preferred
• General Experience and working knowledge of network protocols, including TCP/IP, MPLS, BGP, OSPF, VLANs, ACI, SD-WAN, WiFi protocols and VPNs Preferred
• General Experience Proficiency in configuring, troubleshooting network devices, including routers, switches, firewalls, load balancers, and network monitoring systems Preferred
• General Experience and strong understanding of network security principles and best practices, including network segmentation, access control, and threat mitigation Preferred

• Cisco Cert Design Profesional Preferred
