Job summary

Temple Health in Pennsylvania is seeking a Cloud Platform Engineer to deliver cloud solutions and secure health-focused environments. The role requires hands-on work with Terraform, Azure DevOps, and scripting to automate tasks and reduce risk.

You will manage private, public, and hybrid clouds with a focus on uptime and data protection. Three on-site days weekly (Tue-Thu) at Temple Health Women’s and Families Hospital; Bachelor’s degree preferred and three years’ experience required.

Qualifications

• Three years of related experience required.
• HIPAA/GDPR/CCPA data privacy knowledge is required.
• Proficiency with Terraform, Azure DevOps, SQL, Ansible, PowerShell, Shell Scripting, and Python.
• Experience with cloud-native backups and monitoring.
• Design/build/support of SaaS/PaaS/IaaS cloud solutions.
• Strong networking knowledge including firewalls and NSGs.
• Windows Server and Linux administration; virtualization with VMware, Docker, Kubernetes.
• Ability to prioritize tasks and drive risk reduction strategies.

Cloud Platform Engineer – (264610)

Description

The Cloud Platform Engineer delivers technical solutions that align with business needs and industry best practices. They troubleshoot and resolve issues across private, public, and hybrid cloud environments, execute projects, and monitor system performance and availability. This role is responsible for securing, maintaining, and overseeing the health of the cloud environments managed by Temple Health. The engineer conducts utilization reviews, establishes fault notification processes, analyzes data to identify trends, and implements automated, proactive measures to prevent application downtime. Equivalent certifications from other major cloud platforms may be considered.

This role requires three days on-site (Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday) at Temple Health Women’s and Families Hospital.

General Experience and thorough understanding of data security and privacy standards (e.g. HIPAA, GDPR, CCPA) Required

General Experience and high proficiency in managing cloud resources including storage, compute, and networking Required

General Experience with strong understanding of network technologies including firewalls, proxies, load balancers, and network security groups (NSGs) Required

General Experience and familiarity with protocols and standards including TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS, BGP, TLS, SSH, LDAP, Kerberos, NTP, CIFS, and NFS Required

General Experience and knowledge of operating systems such as Windows Server, and Linux, with experience in performance optimization and troubleshooting especially at it relates to Cloud deployments Required

General Experience and understanding of virtualization and containerization technologies as AVS, VMware, Docker, and Kubernetes Required

General Experience managing and executing project tasks Required

General Experience and expertise in diagnosing and resolving complex issues involving integrated applications Required

General Experience with ability to assess, diagnose, recommend, and implement process improvements Required

General Experience in healthcare IT Preferred
