Job summary

INSPYR Solutions is seeking a Principal Software Engineer, Network Services to design and build large-scale network automation platforms for our global infrastructure. This remote US role emphasizes software-first networking, control planes, and high reliability across data centers and cloud environments.

You will develop backend tooling in Python, Go, or Rust, integrate with vendor APIs, and drive automation through modern CI/CD pipelines while maintaining security and observability standards.

Qualifications

• Proven experience operating networks at large scale (multi-datacenter or cloud).
• Deep networking expertise: routing protocols, switching, and design principles.
• Strong software engineering background with network automation experience.
• Proficiency in Python; Go or Rust preferred for tooling.
• Experience with firewall automation and security workflows.
• Hands-on with Terraform, Ansible, Docker, and Kubernetes for infra tooling.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement network automation platforms and control planes at scale.
• Develop tooling, APIs, and automation frameworks for provisioning and config management.
• Build firewall policy management and security automation workflows.
• Create observability and telemetry systems for network operations.
• Collaborate on platform architectures across data centers and cloud environments.
• Contribute to CI/CD pipelines for infrastructure changes and deployment.
